Long-distance Relationship Leads to Marriage

Logan, Utah - February 25, 2011 - A couple that met on the beach and then continued their relationship long-distance through Facebook and the telephone is to be married this summer.

Todd Sanders and Christina Hansen will be married June 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Logan temple. Invited guests should arrive 30 minutes early. A reception will follow in the evening for friends and family of the bride and groom.
Speculation and rumors have surrounded this couple's relationship, as Hansen's family first wondered who the guy was that was always posting on her wall.

"We didn't have a typical relationship," Hansen said. "We went for six months without seeing each other. It was the longest six months of my life."

When the couple returned home to Oregon last Christmas, both families waited for news of a marriage proposal, as the couple had then been dating over a year, but none came.

"We thought it was going to happen over Christmas," said Spencer Hansen, the bride's father. "Then when it didn't, I assumed it would be Valentine's Day."

Sanders proposed to Hansen Feb. 12 in Provo Canyon.

"It happened a day earlier than I'd originally planned," Sanders said. "The moment just ended up being right."

The bride and groom plan on living in Provo after their marriage as they finish their college degrees.
